Description
A driveshaft loop secures the driveshaft inside the transmission tunnel in the event of a U-joint failure. This safety feature helps prevent the car from pole vaulting or the driveshaft from puncturing the floorboard and injuring the driver. It’s required on cars running faster than a 13.99 in the quarter-mile when using slicks, and any car running quicker than an 11.49 on street tires.
Bolt in G body driveshaft loop.
We get asked this daily, it has 4.25″ of Clearance on the inside of the loop so a 3″, 3.5″ shaft will fit.
This bolts under the floor where the stock strap was.
There is no drilling required with our drive shaft loops.
A driveshaft safety loop is a steel strap 2″ wide and 1/4″ thick formed into a loop. The loop keeps the driveshaft contained in the transmission tunnel in the event of a ruinous U-joint failure.
Our driveshaft loops are the toughest, most durable safety loops in the industry and can withstand all types of use.
