Driveshaft Loop

A driveshaft loop secures the driveshaft inside the transmission tunnel in the event of a U-joint failure. This safety feature helps prevent the car from pole vaulting or the driveshaft from puncturing the floorboard and injuring the driver. It’s required on cars running faster than a 13.99 in the quarter-mile when using slicks, and any car running quicker than an 11.49 on street tires.
