GM B-Body 1971 to 1996

GM’s B-body full-size rear-wheel drive platform borrowed heavily from the manufacturer’s C and D platforms and is one of the best-selling automobile platforms in history. Originally developed for Oldsmobile and Buick, it was eventually used on all GM makes including the Chevrolet Bel Air, Impala, and Caprice; Pontiac Bonneville, Grand Ville, and Safari; Buick LeSabre and Roadmaster; and Cadillac Series 60, 61, and 63.
